OK, just wondering...why in the hell do so many massive aquariums have neon gobies in them?

Just visited the New England Aquarium (which I hope to post a semi-review of sometime) and saw that they had neon gobies in their Giant Ocean Tank. They're also in the Ocean Voyager tank at the Georgia Aquarium. Couldn't find them either time despite checking every decoration I could and looking for behaviors indicating a cleaning. I'm really confused, because every book I have says neons are ridiculously susceptible to predation. So why can they be kept in tanks with so many mid-size predators that would go after them in a home aquarium?
