Being induce but not dilated

Hi mommy’s! 40 weeks today an my sweet baby girl is running out of room, ob told us to come back on Friday for a possible induction problem is she hasn’t dropped an I’m not dilated, has anyone been induced while not being dilated if so how long did it take?
