Step 4 for 2 months - no one can tell me if I’m approved medically

I called my local SSA office, as my application has been stuck at step 4 of reconsideration for 2 months. My rep was out of the office, and the person who answered told me it wasn’t in a quality review, but that it “appears to be an accounting issue. Once that’s resolved in a couple days, you’ll start getting normal monthly payments.”

I replied saying that sounds promising! But he told me he has no clue if I was approved medically, and that I’d have to wait for a call from my rep when he returns to the office.

I’ve also called the attorney handling my case, but just get voicemail and no call back since Friday 🙄

I’m losing my mind trying to figure out if I was approved, and if there is anything I can do to move it along.

Any insight?!
