Fast bluetooth for reciever?

I recently got my first nice audiosystem (pair of speakers, subwoofer, and a reciever). I absolutely love it for listening to music/the radio.

I have noticed that the audio output from the reciever (onkyo tx8270) is too slow to play games on my switch/steam deck, or watch movies on my phone (there is a few seconds of latency).

I was wondering, if I could get an adapter, that uses a faster bluetooth protocol, and use that is input for the reciever, when listening to "fast" content. As far as I can tell, the adapter would need to be some form of aptx? (Low latency or HD) To be fast enough.

I just wanted to hear, before I blindly purchace such a device, if anyone has any experience with this? I dont want tonbuy something, if it will just end up being a piece of e-waste.
