Seeking to further my career
Let me start by saying I absolutely love the company I work for and what I do. I offer a unique contribution to the company. I am the only person that does Mutual Funds. I have 30+ years in Title and Escrow, so when I took this position I was nervous to say the least. I have gained exponential knowledge in the short 16 months I’ve been there. The problem is the pay is terrible!! I’m making now what I made at age 20 and I’m now 49. They highly promote from within. That said, there’s NOTHING out there for me with this company. I’m a firm believer that being happy at work is almost as important as your paycheck. I’m not asking for a handout, by any means. I’ve worked extremely hard with little to no direction. The unfortunate thing is I don’t make enough to pay my bills. I graciously asked for a raise on March 25, 2025. It’s been crickets since. Any thoughts on how to handle this?
