New relationship / new diagnosis

Long story short I started dating this guy 3 weeks ago. Hot and heavy and spending a lot of time together. I went to the doctor for birth control and what I thought was a uti, swabbed and positive for hsv2. How do I tell him? Will he freak out? Doctor suggested antiviral suppression and that the likelihood of giving it to him is very low. I’m scared he will he get upset and break up with me. Looking for some kind of script to say to him in person.
