where to have a bonfire in the s. suburbs?

live in an apartment with no where to have a bonfire n i really miss them, but i’m unsure where i could go to have one. do i need to go to a camp ground n rent a spot even though i won’t stay the night to actually camp? which camp grounds do you like or do day rentals if that’s a thing? i haven’t been to a campground since i was a kid. are there any nature preserves that have a fire pit? i do like to go to forest preserves for bird watching and have seen many with tons of picnic tables and a roofed area but no fire pit. any advice or help is appreciated.
