H1B while waiting for H4 EAD

I got picked in the h1b lottery recently. I currently have a pending standalone h4 EAD (i765) application. Status so far just shows “received”. Based on current timelines, I expect to know in a month or two (if I’m lucky). My question is this. If my future employer files for a h1b COS, will this impact my pending EAD petition? Ideal scenario would be I get my EAD, start working, smoothly transition to H1b Oct 1st. Is that possible? Any experience with this situation here?
