What have they done...

I'm so sick of the hubris these writers have trying to outwrite the original with their own renditions. Dante is supposed to be a badass, and to a degree they got that right, but right off the bat they parody his character with the whole "pretend I just killed that guy line", as if they couldn't come up with something actually funny in the writers room. Also, piss the hell off with the whole "nice demons" and grey area nonsense. LOTR Rings of Power did it with the orcs and it's just not something that hits home whatsoever. Demons are bad, Dante kills them, and we're happy enough to just watch it play out, not theorize about the political landscape between Hell and Earth. Also, what did they do to lady 😂 Her arc with her dad in dmc3 worked perfectly, jester and all, and that flashback episode mirroring her past and that weird rabbits was just jarring.

We're not asking for a shot for shot remake but just improve on the god damn formula instead of inventing your own timeline. It's exhausting watching all these amazing IPs like Halo and The Witcher go down the shitter, and what's worse is we won't get the adaptations we want in the future because these awful writers have tarnished the franchises and any attempt after won't get the funding.
