Is there a way to force tabs to stay active/loaded once they're loaded, so they don't refresh/reload when I click back to them from a different tab?

QUESTION

I have to use Edge for work, and have some stuff in a couple of my starting tabs that I need should certain events happen that could be rather time sensitive (like, literal "emergency situation" type events). The problem is, Edge has this habit of "unloading" tabs after so long, so that clicking them from a different tab where I'm doing other work means the browser has to reload them, which takes time that I may not have in an emergency situation where time is of the essence.
Manually clicking onto the tabs doesn't work, because I've seen it take as little as a minute or so for the tabs to "unload".
Turning off sleeping tabs has no effect on this behavior, and I found nothing in flags that seemed like it would help either. And as this is a work computer with strict security in place, I cannot install many extensions nor 3rd party software if it's not on the pre-approved list.
I'm just wondering if I will have to live with this or if there's some trick I'm missing.
