Long distance/Group/Turn based game?

My older brother moved to Japan and has a girlfriend over there, while my little brother and I are here in America still. Our schedules are pretty off, of course, because of like a 14 hour time difference. However, us sibling always bond over gaming and we’ve been missing playing games together, but also the time difference is making it too hard to play together. In addition to that, my brother is wanting to include his girlfriend (who is not a gamer, besides a little bit of Minecraft) to join us in gaming.

Does anyone have suggestions on games that my little brother and I can play here and it like change the game and then they play over there. Kinda like small groups, but for a whole game thing. That way we’re all playing together but in our own times, instead of having to accommodate crazy times for the other. Friendly playing since his girlfriend doesn’t really play games 🙃

I’d love suggestions that are more advanced games that my bros and I could play (not new gamer, new girlfriend friendly). I love his girlfriend, but I also just like gaming with my bros so I’m down for those suggestions too
