Going to grad school but in a tough financial position right now
I'm planning on going to grad school, but have been unemployed for around a year now, with some odd jobs here and there. The job market for my previous line of work has been tough and I have been searching for more than 8 months. I'm finally deciding to look for minimum/low wage jobs outside of my industry, and have at least one part time minimum wage job secured.
The good news about grad school is that I've been offered full tuition to go, but I still don't feel that great about it because cost of living in the city where it is are high. I have around 20k in loans left over from undergrad, and I really don't want to pull out more, but I might have to.
Anyone have advice on how to maximize my savings from a minimum wage job from now until August when I start my program? Should I take out more loans (I can take out up to $20,500k)? I'm excited about going back to school but really anxious about financing it, even if it's just living expenses.
