This is a team effort - you don't have to be perfect.
There are many things that need to change, and many ways to support and revitalize our country moving forward. You, as an individual, are not responsible for doing all of those things. Your responsibility is to do what you can, as you are able. If the only lotion that works for your baby's eczema is American, it's okay to buy it. If you're having trouble affording enough to eat, it's okay to buy the cheap American strawberries. Make the easiest changes first, and as you have the capacity to think about more changes, start looking around your life for what else you can do next. Don't get disheartened by headlines about how buying Canadian groceries isn't enough, or the differences between made in Canada versus product of Canada, etc. It's true that more needs to be done, but it doesn't all have to be done by you. There are millions of us in this fight together, and some people can do more than others. We're all doing what we can, and our strength is greatest when we work together.
