Aldershot Town 1 - 2 Boston United

The first half of this match was reminiscent of last weekend’s match between Aldershot Town and Woking. Both Woking and Boston United spent most of the first half aggressively creating scoring opportunities. However, neither club was able to find the back of the net. Instead, both clubs found themselves trailing by one point at halftime after the Shots scored late goals.

Unlike Woking, the Boston United’s persistence finally paid off in the second half. While keeping the listless Shots’ offense at bay, the Pilgrims managed to capture a deserved victory by scoring in the 72^(nd) and 91^(st) minutes.

In retrospect, this loss is another example of the Shots’ tendency to take themselves out of matches against lower ranked clubs. It says a lot that the Shots have failed to win either of their matches against Boston United this season.
