What size and resolution should one get to get more desktop real estate compared to a 27 inch 1440p?

Discussion

I'm using a 27 inch 1440p monitor at 125% scaling in Windows, and I want to replace my secondary monitor with a monitor that gives me more desktop real estate compared to my current main monitor.

But I'm a bit stumped on what size and resolution to get, I'd assume the main options are 27 inch 4k, 32 inch 1440p or 32 inch 4k.

I've been mainly leaning towards getting a 32 inch 4k monitor, but they're still a bit on the expensive side for even the entry level options. Can I achieve what I'm looking for with a 27 inch 4k or 32 inch 1440p? This isn't going to be a monitor used for games, I'm only interested in good build quality and accurate colors.
