BVF Cartier Santos Medium – What are the easy tells vs gen?
Hey everyone,
I’m considering picking up a BVF Cartier Santos with a white dial in the medium (35mm) size. I know BVF has a pretty solid rep when it comes to this piece, and I’ll definitely make sure to find one with a properly aligned dial (no crooked markers or logo).
That said, I’m curious: if I had it side-by-side with a gen, what are the obvious or easy tells that would give it away as a rep? I know the quality has improved a lot, but I imagine there are still some details that stand out to trained eyes – maybe in the case finish, dial print, bracelet screws, etc.?
Would love to hear your thoughts or see comparison pics if anyone has them. Just trying to be as informed as possible before buying.
Appreciate the help!
