I posted a joke about how much I like Fleabag

I only got to watch the show a couple weeks ago and posted a joke about how much I liked it. All the responses I got were telling me to get a life and how I was immature and embarrassing. Isn't this the thread where we can show our apprecation for the show and laugh together? Why did people tell me to kill myself just because I said I liked the show? On this specific thread? Am I doing reddit wrong?
