visited a slaughterhouse

I visited a slaughter house. I saw the animals being killed. i saw them hanging from the hooks. as we were walking from the freezers towards the killing space, the bodies hanging on the hooks gradually started looking more and more alive. when we got to the killing area, it was clear they weren't really knocked out before being slaughtered. some were, some were not. it was awful. some are probably still alive as they are skinned. i'm having a hard time thinking about anything else. at least i know they were dead after their heads got cut off. it was so horrible. the kicking. the moaning. we are monsters.
