Solar transfer nightmare

We’re just about to close on the house we’ve been living in, and everything has gone smoothly…except for one thing.

The house has leased Tesla solar panels. We agreed to assume the lease (under $8k) since the house is perfect for us: great price, fully remodeled, and exactly what we wanted. We figured it was worth it.

But transferring the Tesla solar agreement has been a complete disaster.

We’ve tried calling multiple times, and every time the wait is over 90 minutes before the line just drops. We’ve sent emails, no reply. We’ve tried the chat feature….nothing. There is literally no way to get in touch with a human. We’re completely stuck.

I get it, fuck Elon, but this Tesla situation is next-level frustrating. Has anyone successfully transferred a Tesla solar lease recently? What worked for you? We’re desperate at this point and just want to move forward.

Any advice would be seriously appreciated.
