Do y’all change project dates

I put my most recent ones since my most recent projects are the quality ones. But idk if I should lie about it cuz one of my interviewers saw the dates and grilled me about not working on my projects earlier in my school years 🙄 bffr why would I put my second year trashy project on my resume
