question about repiercing ( lips )

hi, i currently have double vertical labrets and am wanting to take them out to get snake bites instead. (i prefer the look of hoops which is why i wish to change.)

would it be possible for me to take my vertical labrets out and get my snakebites soon after i take them out (in a different spot) or would i have to wait for them to heal? thank you. ^_^
