Why tf is it so difficult to get doctors to prescribe literally anything for sinusitis?

1 pcp visit, 3 urgent care visits, and finally a visit to the ER last night got me a prescription for doxy. Jesus Christ I've been suffering for 3+ weeks. Hot (almost burning/flushed sensation) all over my face, ears, and eyes. Swollen lymph node, burning throat, acid reflux, pressure in face and head, chills and hot flashes but no fevers.

And all of them thought I was exaggerating. I've had service dogs since 2014, and ER doctor suggested maybe I was panicking too much and I could have allergies because of my dog. I straight up laughed in his face while also almost throwing up lol.

Why is the medical field like this? Anyone else?
