Best primer for covering bright white paint

I moved into a place with white walls, and I was doing some touch up with a white that I thought matched pretty well, but it turns out it was way brighter than I thought. I ended up figuring out what the original paint was, so I got some, and painted over that bright white, but the bright white is still visible. Is there a primer that will cover that bright white that will also let me paint over it with the actual color matched paint?
