Leak and Gunk in water loop

Had the original Pod, but after a year or so they replaced it with Pod2 because of a leak. Now 2 years later, just woke up to another leak. This time support says there's gunk in the water loop that caused the leak. Out of warranty so it'll be $1400 for a replacement! Anyone know if it's possible to fix this gunk in water loop and leak DIY ?
