Coming out to conservative parents on Easter weekend – tips?

28yo and in the US So I'm a bit terrified but also ready to come out to my parents – mostly because secrets give me immense anxiety and I want to be able to be fully authentic around them regardless of how they'll feel about it.

I agreed to come down Easter weekend since I haven't seen them in a while and decided that is when I will come out — not on the holiday, but before it. They are both conservative, but on different areas of the spectrum, Mom is closer to the middle, Dad is much more conservative. I don't think they would go as far as to disown me, but I just want to be prepared for any negative repercussions that'll come my way. I know my dad won't accept it, but will probably "love me regardless," which almost feels worse.

Tips on preparing for the worst without sabotaging myself?
