Can you recognize this bird call?

Location: Hungary

For a good week now, me and my neighbours have only ever heard the latter half of this call, and convinced it was a kitten, we combed through the entire yard multiple times to try and find it. Tonight, I actually caught the sound, very clearly from the same place and from the same animal, "morph" from the bird call to what we kept thinking was meowing. What kind of bird is this?
