Where to get the pill UK?

I know you can get it from the GP, but this option is quite inaccessible to me. So, do you have to go to a physical appointment or can they do it over the phone if they have blood pressure information?

Can you get it just by going into a pharmacy and having a quick appointment there, and is this for free or will I have to pay non-prescription prices like on boots pharmacy website?
