Why are almost all “name-brand” video games the same price at launch?
Obviously I’m asking this because of the recent Nintendo controversy, but I have never understood this. I love Nintendo and Mario games very much, but how the hell is Mario Bros worth the same amount of money as RDR2 at launch???
I read an article not too long talking about how the gaming industry is waiting on rockstar to up their gta 6 price so that they could all follow suit. But how is this acceptable?? There’s no way the same amount of time and resources go into a game like gta 6 compared to Mariokart. So someone please, explain to me how this is possible because to my knowledge this is pretty much how it’s always been
