Keyboard and mouse for easier sims building

I’ve been playing sims for at least a decade (probably more) and I’ve always played on a laptop.

I don’t have the facilities for a laptop atm so I’m playing on the Xbox. However. I think building and such would be so much easier with a keyboard and mouse.

What exactly do I need? I’ve seen so many posts of “usb works” “Bluetooth works” “Bluetooth doesn’t work”

I just need to know what I need that won’t break the bank
