Optum medical review requested…No open claim

Optum contacted me today for a medical review on Gerd. Which is strange as just last month my Gerd HLR was closed out/denied. I have not opened up a supplemental etc. I do not have a rating for Gerd presently.

When I called the VA regional office they said it was a medical review requested by the VA. It’s just an internal “investigation” by the VA. No claim is open on either end.

I cannot find anything regarding this. I plan to ask my VSO in the morning yet wanted to ask you all for insight as well in the meantime.
