Members added to a set group right before/after debut tend to be the Maknae?
I just noticed that when companies add another member sort of last minute, that member tends to be the maknae of the group. Is this because they feel the group dynamic will smooth out eventually if the new member is the youngest? Less of a power struggle and it’s hard not to be nice to the youngest.
The groups I had in mind:
Red Velvet - Yeri Super Junior - Kyuhyun Ikon - Chanwoo Monsta X - I.M. Day6 - Dowoon (as a drummer he didn’t really threaten anyone’s position, but still!) Bigbang - Seungri
