Man, however much AI art you think there is on Etsy, I promise you, it’s more than that

Really wanted a nice, new tapestry to hang on my walls. I’ve now been fooled three times. I genuinely am having a difficult time finding one shop that isn’t entirely AI slop. It’s so depressing, man. These other shops have t h o u s a n d s of sales, meanwhile the artists who actually make the art/tapestries are just being buried underneath them all. I wonder how the “AI” distinction on listings is actually impacting these shops? Theres nothing listing them as AI, only some happen to mention it waaaaaay at the bottom of their item descriptions. Like, I wish Etsy would let me filter when searching. I realize this is more than a rant than anything. Just, as a seller who also makes every item by hand, it’s so demoralizing to see thousands upon thousands of AI slop listings.
