couple questions about building - Glass and Static

So I plan to build my pc soon, but I am worried about a few things

I am gonna use the montech air 100

but I am worried about shattering the glass, any tips on how to handle?

also

I plant to build on carpet, but I have seen differing opinions about static electricity, is it okay?

(and is it a bad idea to build in a different room and carry over to where It will be used)

also

on my desk there is a raised part where the main part is but the L side is lower down, meaning when i put the pc i won't be able to open the hinge door to clean, so I would have to lift the pc up to the desk or to a different room, will this potentially shatter the glass by MILDLY dropping the pc down (putting in original place) as It would be too fidly to lower gently, ( like a cm most)
