What Type of Web Developer(s) for a Clinic Lead Gen & Booking Platform? Where to Find Them?

How Do I ?

Hi everyone,

I’m building a modern lead generation and booking platform designed to connect consumers with service providers in various professional fields. The platform is intended to feel like a dynamic, virtual shopping/browsing experience rather than a traditional directory or booking system.

Key High-Level Platform Features:

User-Facing:

•	Intuitive Filtering & Discovery:

Users select a service category from the homepage and then browse rich provider profiles.

•	Rich Provider Profiles: Profiles include multiple videos, reels, image galleries (including before/after examples), detailed service information, and an integrated on-site “Got a Question?” Q&A section.

Smart Lead Request Flow (MVP Only): • Instead of direct booking or deep calendar integrations, users submit a lead request with approximate appointment timings (e.g., “morning” or “afternoon”) and other basic details.

•	This request is then forwarded to the provider via branded email and/or messaging.

•	Virtual Shopping Feel:

The overall design emphasizes exploration and a visually engaging experience.

Provider-Facing: • Pay-on-Acceptance Model: • Providers are charged only when they accept a lead. Freemium accounts pay per lead, while premium accounts pay a fixed monthly fee for unlimited leads.

•	Lead Tracking Dashboard:

Providers can view metrics like profile views, lead acceptance timestamps, and click tracking.

•	Block Booking Incentives & “Hold Money” - offering ‘block booking discounts to consumers without committing to the block bookings (we hold the money until they approve they want to go ahead with the block booking after the first treatment)

(Future/Phase 2): • For multi-session packages, users can pay for an initial session at a discounted rate with the balance charged later—helping pre-qualify users and incentivize repeat business.

No Direct Booking: • For the MVP, there will be no direct booking or full calendar integrations. Instead, providers receive lead requests with suggested approximate timings—this keeps the process simple and low-maintenance.

Future Enhancements (Phase 2): • Dynamic Discount Bidding: Allowing providers to competitively offer time-sensitive discounts. • Enhanced Analytics & Automated Follow-Up Tools: For improved provider performance and user engagement. • Full Integration of Package Booking Flows: With deeper payment “holding” mechanisms if the first session is successful.

What I Need Help With:

Developer/Team Recommendation: • Which type of developer(s) is best for building this kind of platform? Should I look for a full-stack developer experienced in lead-tracking systems, or would a combination of a custom front end (e.g., built on Webflow) plus a custom backend (or a no-code solution like Bubble/Softr with automations via Zapier/Make) work?

•	Where is the best place to find the right candidate or team? (e.g., Upwork, Toptal, Indie Hackers, specialized no-code forums, etc.)

MVP Feature Prioritization: • Given the desired features listed above, which ones would you prioritize for the MVP to prove the concept—particularly when considering that the MVP will only share leads (with approximate timings) instead of offering direct booking or deep integrations?

•	In your experience, what is the most effective way to set up the pay-on-acceptance lead mechanism so that leads are tracked reliably and the process remains frictionless for providers?

I’m building this as a side project while working full-time, so the solution must include strong automation and low-maintenance workflows. My budget is lean for the MVP phase, and I’m open to hiring part-time or on a per-sprint basis for the right candidate or team.

Thanks in advance for any insights, suggestions, and recommendations!
