My kid is lying to me at NDad's orders...
Just like it says: My ex husband is definitely a narcissist, and for some reason likes to keep secrets and drop worrying informational bombs on me at random times. Preferably just before I'm about to go to sleep and have work the next day, so that I can spend hours worrying about my kid rather than sleeping and going on with life.
The fact is, whether my ex husband screws a telephone pole or not isn't really my problem anymore, but putting my 8 yo kid in the middle of it is my problem. My kid has been asked to lie to me more than once by his NDad over the years. I don't want him growing up to be a narcissistic, scheming liar like his father, and I don't want him getting put in the middle of my Nex's bs. He's developed a habit of lying that I never had at that age, and I'm really at a loss as to what to do or expect now. He will bluntly tell me his NDad is mean to me, gets pissed off at things that happen there, and with the way he describes it, he's really more of a roommate at his NDad's house than a beloved son.
Note: even aside from moral fiber concerns- NEx does not have close healthy relationships with his parents/ other family members either, and nobody in that family has a healthy marriage/LTR. Everybody is divorced or in a problematic LTR at best. I don't want my kid growing up with this problem!
I know you can't teach me how to get my NEx to leave me alone. But from the child of narcissists perspective, anybody have an NParent that put them in the middle of shit like this? Thoughts?
Note: if you look up my former posts, my parents are both narcissists, but they are still married and always keep up a united narcissistic front to this day, so I was never put in the middle of shit like this.
