Returning to Phones after hiatus, quickest route to EO?

Returning to Civil service after a rough redundancy and going to be onto a not so great call department. Hearing people speak already about team leader shortages, is the quickest route to sniff down the EOI site asap?

A few days in, and I know how bad those phones can be. The systems aren't that different and I'd be confident trying the teaching materials for team leaders, so would being proactive whilst we have short off phone time be the best route?

Trying to be floorwalker, signing up for specific things maybe to boost that confidence?
