Xbox controller triggers are reversed

I’ve been having this issue on Metropolis Street Racer when using an Xbox One controller. Mapped accelerator to Rtrigger and brake to Ltrigger. For some reason the brake and gas are activated when I’m NOT pressing either button, pressing them deactivates it. I’ve reset the game and remapped controller several times.
