Mo Ran e Taxian Jun
I'm at the beginning of the third book of 2ha, in the arc in which all the sects go to the Nangong family's mountain to look for Nangong Xu. At certain moments Mo Ran ends up seeing Taxian Jun's reflection in Xu and talks about how the two are similar in their madness and the distorted justice in which they believed. And in this comparison I started to think one thing: Taxian Jun/Mo Ran is a huge hypocrite.
Even though he had a sad and poor childhood, where he had no home and his mother died young, Mo Ran was still lucky, his uncle found him when he was still young and could develop his spiritual core, when he arrived at Shiseng Peak he had the almost unconditional love of his uncles, he had Shi Mei, despite the fights he could count on Xue Meng and even though Chu Wanning was strict and distant he was still a valuable and respectable Shizun, he was not a bad person.
Indeed, he lost Shi Mei, but even so he still enjoyed a comfortable life on Shiseng Peak, and was a prodigal disciple, who could count on the love of his uncles and even his Shizun. If he got over Shi Mei's death, he could even make friends with Mei Hanxue or Ye WangXi, he could have a good and normal life.
But instead he wanted to pursue a revenge that wasn't even revenge, he wanted everyone to feel the pain he felt when losing Shi Mei, but he didn't exactly want revenge, if he wanted revenge he would be happy to kill Chu Wanning, but when Chu died, Mo Ran also committed suicide, which makes everything even more controversial and meaningless, because there was no objective in all of Taxian Jun's actions.
I'm still on the third book and there are many pages to go, there's a lot I've yet to discover, but that's my opinion so far.
Do you agree??
