If you message someone on Match.com who has set an age filter to filter out someone of my own age, will they still see/receive the message?

I [31M] am quite new to using Match so forgive me if this might seem like an obvious question

I messaged a young lady who I thought was super attractive, not just from her pictures but by what she stated in her profile too, In other words I won't anyone entirely based on there pictures. However, I am two years younger than her and I noticed she stated she prefers older men but anyone her age or older is perfectly cool, therefore Im thinking she has most likely set her preferences to suit that. I thought I would send a message anyway as its only a very small difference in age, so was just wondering if my message will still be visible in her inbox or not, again sorry for asking what might be possibly seem obvious but im not yet used to the whole dynamics of online dating.

Also, as an aside, this is my third month on here, so far I have received only 5 likes, I did get into a conversation with a girl who messaged me first but it didn't really lead anywhere. Is this typical for someone who has been using the service for this length of time, or is this not a good sign?
