Sure, tariffs will bite in the short-term and businesses should prepare. Tariffs are likely to flush weak/zombie companies out of the market.

Before Trump’s tariff policy, it was projected that The Fed would only have two rate cuts this year. Now traders are betting on 5 and even betting that The Fed will need to introduce an emergency cut before next month.

This has the potential to create a very hot labor market going into 2026.

There seems to be the impression in this sub that Meech is for the elites, but he is for the American workers — he is for the little people.

Scott Bessent’s comments regarding laid of federal workers taking factory jobs is a bit hilarious. Sure, these workers might take these jobs, but they’re temporary. It’s not going to work the way he thinks it will.

If we look at behavior from both Millennials and GenZ, this could significantly backfire by creating a lot of movement in the labor market.

More people today (including Meech) want to switch jobs than the Great Resignation. What do you think is going to happen when The Fed cuts rates in rapid succession?

There will certainly be a lag of when we see the impacts of rate cuts in the job market, but January-March 2026 could be bullish.

So while tariffs will certainly have an impact in the short-term, our moment (we the people) will have our day.

A lot of people took losses — either with inflation or job losses. We’re about to see a whole new level of savagery in the job market. Job hopping will be the way to give the middle finger.

Companies who laid off or ghosted candidates will certainly pay the price for their actions.
