U of Rochester vs U of Florida

⚔️ School X vs. Y

Rochester on paper is expensive. Seems to have better administrative support for research, specifically great support for those taking research year (if I end up doing that). Cold. More urban environment. Shorter preclinical (I think?), mix of NBME and in-house i think?

UF is close to family, IS tuition. Community was nice, but not my vibe. Research opportunities seem ok. New facilities and VLCOL. Good weather, Gville is meh. Longer pre clinical, in house exams per students.

Got decent institutional aid, so UR has ~$40k higher total COA? Yeah idk. Any advice/insight?
