Is finding a remote job and moving to a different country a realistic plan?

I currently work a job that pays me well enough, im very comfortable with it and honestly I'm financially stable. However if I want to move to another country I have to find a job and to be very honest, I don't think I quality for any job in a foreign country so I'm thinking the safest way to go about it would be to find a remote job while I'm still in my job before I move. Is this a realistic plan or am I dreaming?

Let's say I do find a remote job, is it sustainable in the long term after I move? What if I get fired? I mean I can use that same logic for any job but idk how reliable remote jobs are. If anyone has experience I'd appreciate it.
