hello, please help, i´ve been talking to tutorials for the past 2 days!

i have an

with an samsung ssd 960 evo 250gb.

now i bought a new samsung 990 evo plus and i plan on reinstalling windows 10 on it.

(lot of trash on the old one + need new storage)

when i plug the new one in using an external ssd-reader it doesnt show in samsung magican.

now i was wondering if my motherboard is too old for the new ssd?

i really am not an expert and i had help when i first installed the added the ssd + installed windows back in 2018.

i am very confused by pcie, and i dont know where to get this information from.

any help greatly appriciated!
