Why is it so hard to get diagnosed even when it’s obvious ?

I only went to one psychiatrist two years ago, I mentioned my suicidal thoughts but after a 5-minute-long rushed appointment, he said I was fine because I was smiling and laughing inside his office….

I am desperate now and scared to try to find another one who can diagnosed me because I really think I suffer from a depressive disorder
