Soil Thermometer Recomendations?

I have been using green cast online to watch my local soil temperatures the last two growing seasons and am ready to upgrade to checking my own soil temperature.

I have seen some that are ~$10 and some that are ~$60. I'm not sure what to look for.
I, like most, prefer to purchase things that last and am willing to spend the extra $ if it means I don't have to throw it away and buy another one too soon after buying the first.

Any gardeners that have one, recommend one?
