Fostering as a single person, is it viable?
Hi all, I may be in the situation where I end up fostering my unborn niece but I'm concerned about whether, as a single person, I could realistically give the child it's best life from both practical and financial perspectives. Social Services are already scoping me as a carer for the unborn child.
I'm a single man, earning £42k, no debts other than a mortgage. My job is flexible but I could not go part time.
Experienced foster parents, does my situation preclude me from being a viable foster parent?
