Is Althea really that out there?

I did the thing you shouldn’t do. I said the name I love to a friend and she commented on how unusual it was, and it didn’t feel like a “unusual but nice.” I really thought Althea is that combination of a perfectly normal name without extra frills while still being not being super common and riddled with associations.

There are some other names I like, but Althea sounds nice to me, I like the spelling, and I like the meaning… but am I not seeing something that makes this name odd??

The full name would be Althea Xanthe Cecilia
