Genuine Question
Hey!
I just started watching this week, so to be fair, I’m only 10 episodes in at the point of this question. Even still, I feel like I need an answer ASAP in order for things to make sense again.
All of the teams in BlueLock are made of strikers. So strikers are covering positions that they have never played in- ever.
The point of this program is to find THE striker. Somebody who can face anybody and get it in the net. The players have years of experience and have spent ample time cleaning their craft. In many cases, we hear the players express uncertainty and a lack of confidence about playing a different area temporarily.
This begs a huge, blaring, glaring question for me. How can they really be sure that any of these players are the best striker if they aren’t playing against people who are masters of their own position??
I literally can’t find an answer to this and it’s sending me into a loop. Is this something that changes as the story goes on or is Japan’s soccer committee just stupid?
