GD MP PI for MBA

I have a two years gap after college, no experience. Just a 6 month internship and another 6 month professional certification course.

Should I even bother attending the selection process? Would they even consider me during my PI?

If there's anyone who had a two year gap or more who has gotten admission in the first round, please tell me. I'd be very grateful.
