Summer Jobs

Hi everyone,

I’ll be in Israel for the summer through Birthright Onward, meaning that I will have an unpaid internship. I, of course, have the correct travel visa, but it is not a work visa.

Would there be any way for me to make money over the summer? My primary job in the US is overnight pet sitting, at least while I’m still in college. I often am booked out for the entire semester with clients. I’d love to do something like this, but am not sure how I’d gain clientele. I also donate plasma on occasion for money, though I’m not entirely sure this is something that is offered in Israel? I haven’t seen anything online, at least. I’ve worked so many animal care jobs, as well as on campus jobs. I’ve also worked retail in the past.

I’m just looking for some easy money while I’m there. Because I don’t have a work visa, I’m not entirely sure if it’s legal for me to be on someone’s payroll? Hence, why pet sitting is the most appealing.

I’ve also heard there are sites for house sitting, but not sure what these sites are?
